Albany is a private luxury resort community in The Bahamas developed by Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Joe Lewis. The 565-acre oceanfront community will feature the world-class Albany Marina surrounded by residences, designed by a collaboration of the world's most renowned architects including Robert A.M. Stern, Charles Gwathmey, Robert Siegel, Richard Sammons, Scott Merrill, Morris Adjmi and Geoffrey Mouen. The Albany architects have embarked on designing thirteen buildings surrounding the Albany Marina which will house approximately 100 luxury marina apartments and residences. The Albany masterplan includes a range of residential offerings such as Albany cottages, luxury homes and oceanfront Bahamas lots. The private Albany community is highlighted by an Ernie Els-designed championship golf course. The 18-hole golf course will raise the interest in Bahamas golf while the Albany golf shop will provide retail offerings for the Bahamas golf resort community. The Albany development will house endless amenities in addition to the Albany golf course including a spa, fitness center and adult pool and lounge. An additional lap pool will be located between the spa and fitness center for Albany founders and members to enjoy. Other Albany amenities such as an equestrian center, water park and tennis and racquet club are also available. The Albany House will become the Beach Club at Albany, a place where residents can relax and dine at several restaurants, including a family restaurant, or sip on a cocktail upstairs in the lounge while their children play in The Conch House, a facility designed specifically for children. The Albany Club also makes an ideal setting for weddings, with the picturesque backdrop of Albany's beach matched with the country club environment is provides. Construction on Albany, Bahamas’ newest luxury resort community, is underway and is slated to open in Winter 2009. |
